I'm back
Didn't realize I had carried this over into our new house. I am finding that sometimes I have more to say than will fit into a space allotted on another site I commonly frequent. So behold, you are now stuck with my verbosity. Of course today you shall get lucky, there is brevity to this post, as I am verrrrry tired from previous shift, and should be sleeping. Oh, my aunt would kill me if she saw that sentence. Crap! Think my brain just turned off, well the interesting part did.Tuesday, October 14, 2008
I swear I cleaned!!
I did clean Sunday before Derek and the kidos returned. I worked Sunday night, came home to a sick and restless child sleeping in my bed and hogging my pillow. I took her to the doctor Monday, and it turns out she has a double ear infection. So after getting her prescription and some yogurt to combat the medicine's side effects, we came home and set up camp on the couch. One day I did nothing to clean, and made very few dirty dishes from dinner, and yet it still looks like I never cleaned on Sunday. WTF!!!!!!!!I have to give Lil credit, I don't think I could be such a trooper if both my ears were infected and hurting. She's already feeling better, and thankfully has gotten some of her appetite back. The interesting part will be convincing her to continue taking her medicine even after she feels all better.
Still working on the costumes, didn't get any work done on them yesterday, will try again today.

I want coffee!!!
Working late into the wee hours of the morning, has made (helped) me become desirably dependent of coffee/caffeine. When it is available I easily decide whether or not I "need" it. But when it is non-existent, the plotting and scheming to get more starts. My hub was complaining last night that I don't buy Skippy, thinking of the morning, I offered to run to the store (11pm) and buy him Skippy if I could buy coffee as well. He didn't want his Skippy that much. Yesterday I brewed a pot using the small (about 20-30) amount of beans I had left leaving the grounds in the basket from the day before to mix with the little bit of fresh grounds. Today I'm seriously considering brewing same grounds and adding powdered espresso to the pot.Costume update-
Aid has decided to be the Grim Reaper, his costume is "done" except for the ties at the neck edge. I worked on Lil's last night, and her kitty tail has been stitched on 4 times to make sure no one pulls it off. Jen has her pants and spats cut out, and the fabric for the rest goes on sale this weekend.

This year is going by too fast! My mum called asking if I could find childcare the first weekend in October, so I could attend a concert w/ her. I just realized why she wanted a response so soon, that's next weekend! I was hoping to get an early start on the halloween costumes, but it looks like it'll be same as last year. This year Jen is Cpt. Jack Sparrow, Aid, is (bless his heart, sooooo easy) a mummy, and Lil is a kitty cat.
I left the camera in the car, and I don't want to get it right now, but I have a shocking picture for y'all. Yesterday morning when I was in the bedroom, and the little ones were in the living room, Aid decided to CUT LIL'S HAIR! Oh how I cried. Later after he went to school I took Lil and had the rest of her hair chopped off into a bob. I want to cry now just thinking about it.....
Yes she is still cute, and the hairstyle is cute on her, but I really miss her loooong hair. WHY!? Ugh, scissors and kids....I will never understand.

Liz, "My boobs are this big."
Amanda, "Hee-Hee!"
Amanda, "Well actually mine have gotten smaller..."
Liz, "Oh, I'm so sorry. That's awful."
Aunt C. "I can't believe we have to sit here and listen to this."
AshWa thinks, "What's with the camera?"
"Now pay attention, it's called SCUBA. Self Contained Underwater Breathing Appartus"
You'll soon see him on the WWE...

"Hey, Aunt Lee, did we catch any crawdad's?"
"LEECHES!"
Cold dog+Fire=Hot dog....otherwise known as DINNER!
"No seriously, it was THIS big..." Hmmm, wonder what she was talking about.
Look, it's Liz and her mini-me.

"Singin' in the rain"
got peanut butter on my mouse
My breakfast brunch is toast and jam. Lil is having toast and peanut butter. This week has totally churfed. Literally. (Churfed is an inside word/joke from the folklife weekend at Aunt C's.) Jen was sick Sat. Lil threw up Sun. morn. Derek went to work Mon., but called to say he felt feverish and cold sweats. He stayed home sick Tues., I got sick Wed. Called into work. Felt better Thur. Derek still stayed home. Went to work Thur. night. A very long, tiring, achy, feverish 4 hours. Came home, went to bed, feel much better today. Derek went to work, I think he feels better too.I think I'm going to be more adamant about the hand washing around here. I wash mine more often than others because I'm always making the meals. I think there should be more outside of obvious bathroom use.
Kids and I are hanging out with sis and hers this weekend. Taking the girls school clothes shopping. I am really looking forward to school starting. I can clean my house during the day, and I know it will stay clean for longer than an hour. Plus it'll be so much quieter.....yeah that'll be nice.

Upperdate
Family Camping in 1 week!!!!!! Oh, oops, sorry S.R. I know you won't be there, but I'll totally be thinking of you.....like that one time you brought 'stina, and the two of us had too many Mike's......ROFL!Anyway, so I have one week to organize my house, our gear, and thoughts. I keep making a mental list of everything we will need, and forgetting half of it when I get pen and paper in hand. I'm also trying to figure out exactly how I will get ready for my friends wedding at the campground. Face and clothes...easy. Hair...hmmmm that's a little harder. I think I will get my hair cut before then, maybe that will help.
I finally get an outing with my sis and hers this Saturday, about dang time. Before, when she lived in town, we were taking off almost every weekend, now it's so rare. Of course her end of the world is much more enjoyable to her now than it used to be, maybe she doesn't always feel the desire to take off all the time.
School is fast approaching. I've gotten all the general supplies, but am waiting for the actual classroom lists to come out. And aside from the clothes they'll need, and Aid's first packback, the $$ needed isn't really stressing me. Perhaps it's because I'm just thinking about how much sewing, etc I will get done with only one little one in the house. We're thinking about having Aid join swim team in the fall, but I'm not sure how that will fit into Lee's budget. We'll see....
Well, enough rambling. I need to finish things for my friends wedding, and figure out dinner now so I don't have to later. S.R. I miss you much. Hope all is well. It's going to suck w/o you and CJ there this year. Return to Trask not only one permanently short, but two other's missing too (possibly 3 other's knowing A.) Maybe next year.....
